In a spin for charity

12 Oct, 2011 12:00 AM
THOUSANDS of motorcyclists will ride to Werribee on October 23 to raise money for breast cancer research. A charity ride organised by the Point Cook Motorcycle Club will arrive in Werribee about 11am for a festival at Mambourin Gardens.

Marcel Gomperts (pictured with Paige, Joe and Tony Pantalleresco) was asked to organise the event by friends who had been impacted by breast cancer.

Mr Gomperts has already organised charity rides such as Christmas toy runs and his friends believed he would be able to raise money for Breast Cancer Network Australia. "If we raised $30,000 this year I would be happy."

The festival will feature stunt riders and a performance by the Victoria Police rock band. Entry is $20 for riders and $10 for pillion riders. More details: pinkribbonride.com.au
