Officer detained at booze bus

02 Feb, 2012 03:00 AM
AN off-duty protective services officer has lost his licence for six months after being caught drink-driving.

The man was pulled over at a booze bus operation on Derrimut Road, Werribee, just before 10.30pm on Sunday. He returned a reading of .09, almost twice the legal limit. The officer, based in the north-west metro region, was also fined $336.

The matter will be investigated by the police ethical standards department.
